Technical Secretariat of the Commission

English Version

Law 18.525, in its article 9, states that the Central Bank of Chile will act as the Technical Secretariat of the Commission, thus it is located in that institution, whose Board designates the person in charge of it.
The Technical Secretariat is in charge of providing a form, previously approved by the Commission, for the filing of petitions and for receiving them properly filled in afterwards.

According the instructions given by the Commission, the Secretariat must gather all the information about price distortions on imported goods and increases in imports, elaborate the technical reports regarding the examination of the impact of such distortions or increases in imports on the domestic market of the investigated goods; as well as the causal link between the price distortions or increases in imports and the injury, or threat of injury, suffered by Chilean producers.

The Technical Secretariat must receive the communications directed to the Commission, send the citations, communications and notifications, as well as dispose of publications proceeding from the Secretariat and in general, carry out all the other tasks leading to an improved performance of the Commission's duties.

Currently, the Technical Secretary is Mr. Claudio Sepúlveda Bravo, and the Deputy Technical Secretary is Mr. Felipe Aguilar Mimica.
